g-johnston artwork
Graham Johnston was born in Edinburgh and studied drawing and painting at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen until 1982.
After graduating he moved away from creating artwork for exhibition and began a career as a set-designer for theatre based in Glasgow, before moving to London in the 1980s to work in television and film design.
Alongside freelance design he was a part-time lecturer at London Metropolitan University and began working with digital creative software, shifting from producing objects in front of the camera to working on-screen. Over the last twelve years he has produced video internet documentaries, animations and graphic.
Throughout this time he has maintained a studio and in 2008 began again making work for exhibition. He has lived and worked in Norfolk since 2011.
